忆及卡特，美国弗吉尼亚大学名誉教授雷朴实(Bruce Reynolds)在接受中新网采访时表示，卡特为人正直、聪颖，他训练有素，且做事尽心尽力，是一个以事实和分析做判断的人。

Jimmy Carter, who served as the 39th president of the United States from 1977 to 1981, died on Dec. 29, 2024, at the age of 100. Among Carter's many diplomatic achievements during his presidency, perhaps the most notable was promoting the establishment of diplomatic relations between the U.S. and China.
Recalling former U.S. president Jimmy Carter, Bruce Reynolds, a professor emeritus from the University of Virginia (UVA), told China News Network that Carter is a man of morality, intelligence. Reynolds further pointed out that Carter is committed to making peace all his life and he is persisted in doing right things. 她表示，刚刚结束的公众咨询表明，香港社会各界对23条立法有强烈共识。23条立法惩治的是极少数严重危害国家安全的犯罪分子，将依法保护香港居民，根据香港《基本法》和有关国际公约，适用于香港有关规定享有的各项权利和自由，外国在港公民、投资企业也依法受到保护。23条立法域外使用完全符合国际法以及各国各地区的普遍实践。有关国家秘密和外部干预的定义，充分考虑香港特区实际情况及各国通行做法，合理合法，无可非议。
